This category contains all the kitchen worktops in the Prowest catalogue: 384 models in composite quartz, sintered ceramic, Neolith, Laminam and Cosmolite. Each worktop is made to order in our own workshop at Str. Doina 9, Bucharest, after measurements on site, and is delivered and installed by the Prowest team throughout Romania.

Quartz has the largest selection and the lowest starting prices, but it does not tolerate hot pans placed directly on it. Ceramic, Neolith and Laminam contain no resins and withstand heat and sunlight, but their edges are more sensitive to impact. Quartz worktops are generally made from 2 cm slabs (some models also from 1.5 cm), while for ceramic and Neolith the thickness stated in the catalogue is 1.2 cm.

Prices per linear metre start from 157,50 €/ml + VAT (October 2026): from 157,50 €/ml for quartz, from 206,25 €/ml for ceramic, from 286 €/ml for Laminam and from 325,60 €/ml for Neolith. Details are in the price guide and in the comparison of materials.

Which material should I choose for my kitchen worktop?

For an indoor kitchen on a careful budget, quartz offers the most options. If you cook a lot, or the worktop is exposed to sunlight or used outdoors, choose ceramic, Neolith or Laminam. The differences are explained in the comparison of materials.

How much does a kitchen worktop cost?

The price is calculated per linear metre: from 157,50 €/ml + VAT to 553,35 €/ml + VAT, depending on the material and the model. Special edges, cut-outs, transport and installation are priced separately, in the quote. Worked examples are in the price guide.

Do the prices include VAT?

No. The prices shown on prowest.ro exclude VAT; 21% VAT is added to them.

Do you install worktops outside Bucharest?

Yes. Prowest delivers and installs quartz and ceramic worktops throughout Romania.
